The FAQs below identify key aspects of OneRecord’s Terms of Use regarding data use. We want to be as transparent as possible so we highlighted the most frequently asked questions regarding data use.

Where are OneRecord servers located? 

OneRecord is hosted on AWS's HIPAA-compliant cloud. This is one of the most secure and reliable cloud infrastructures there is. And our team monitors it continuously, to make sure your data is protected. We store your information in multiple data centers across the United States. So even in the event of a disaster, we have automatic, seamless back-up.

Other than the user, who has access to user data?

OneRecord users' 100% own their data. They can share it with who they want. When they want and how they want. That means:

  • People and groups users authorize

  • The user's care team

  • Researchers

Do you enable users to obtain a record of the data that have been collected in their OneRecord?

We enable users to obtain a complete record of the data that have been collected. 

Does OneRecord enable users to delete the data that have been stored about them?

OneRecord allows users to delete all of the data that we have stored.

Other than providing direct service to the user, how do you use data about the user? 

We may use data about users to improve our services in the future.

For how long does this OneRecord store user data?

OneRecord stores user data until a user opts to delete their account. Upon deletion, only audit and disclosure information is retained. All PHI is purged.

Does OneRecord allow users to obtain a record of who has accessed data about them?

OneRecord enables users to obtain a complete record of who they have shared their data with and who accessed that data.
